As I was making my holiday spreadsheet the other day....yep, I make a spreadsheet each season so that I can keep track of all of all the gifts etc, I got to thinking about the upcoming season. Seriously, lists and spreadsheets are my second love language! Last year the season looked SO different and I feel like as we head into more "normal" in person season, the stress levels are about to get REAL. So this week, I want to start diving into some tips to help manage holiday stress, prioritize self care, and reduce the overwhelm when it comes to all the prep.

Something else that ranks pretty high on the self care front, ESPECIALLY during the holiday season, is thinking ahead about the meals I am going to prepare.
Let's face it, with all the extra events on our calendars, and all the extra goodies we partake in over the next few months can quickly add up leading to a major reduction in energy, crankiness, and not exactly loving what we look like. For me, the equation looks like this: eat well = feel well. That means I need to be extra thoughtful about meal planning. I need easy, quick, and nourishing. This recipe is on regular rotation in our house because it checks all the boxes. Give it a whirl!
Crackslaw: Egg Roll in a Bowl:
Brown meat of choice with a little garlic, salt and pepper
Add in a bag of coleslaw mix and saute until soft
Season with 1/4 cup coconut aminos and 2 tsp sesame oil
Serve over rice if you choose and some sriracha!
Finally, I search for ways to reduce my stress as much as possible. Planning ahead, and getting my shopping done early is a huge part of that.
